Cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. On the free plan there's no billing period to run out, so leaving altogether ends as soon as you confirm. Either way, your data is kept for a short window afterwards in case you want to restart exactly where you left off; after that, it's permanently deleted.
